					&nbsp;  <p class="MsoNormal"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">&ldquo;Boca restaurant aids <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">New Orleans</st1:city></st1:place> hospitality workers&rdquo;</strong></p>  <p class="MsoNormal"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">By Peter Van Allen<o:p></o:p></strong></p>  <p class="MsoNormal"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></p>  <p class="MsoNormal" style="TEXT-INDENT: 0.5in">Legal sea foods recently lead a local effort to help rebuild the hospitality industry in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">New Orleans</st1:place></st1:city> and to raise awareness for the cause.</p>  <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Along with other South Florida supporters, the restaurant company hosted a &ldquo;by the bite&rdquo; benefit at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">Town</st1:placetype> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Center</st1:placetype></st1:place> at Boca Raton Mall.</p>  <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>More than 100 people attended, including volunteers and food and wine aficionados.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Guests, who donated $85 per person, also bid on a variety of raffle prizes.</p>  <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>All of the funds raised will be given directly to <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">New Orleans</st1:place></st1:city> hospitality workers who are still struggling following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.</p>  <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span><st1:city w:st="on">New Orleans</st1:city> personality Poppy Tooker, owner of the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Savvy</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Gourmet</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Cooking</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">School</st1:placetype></st1:place> and an advocate for the New Orleans Restaurant Recovery Fund, was the special guest of the evening.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>She presented a cooking demonstration.</p>  <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>&ldquo;We had two goals when we invited Poppy to <st1:place w:st="on">South Florida</st1:place>,&rdquo; said Legal&rsquo;s culinary director, Yale Woodson.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>&ldquo;We wanted to raise some money that would go directly to those who need it most in the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">New Orleans</st1:city></st1:place> restaurant community, and we also hoped to raise awareness for their ongoing struggle.&rdquo;</p>  <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span><st1:placename w:st="on">Legal</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Sea</st1:placetype> Foods has three South Florida restaurants, located in <st1:city w:st="on">Boca Raton</st1:city> at the Town Center Mall, at CityPlace in <st1:city w:st="on">West Palm Beach</st1:city>, and at Sawgrass Mills in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Broward</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">County</st1:placetype></st1:place>.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Founded in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Boston</st1:city></st1:place>, the company currently owns and operates more than 30 restaurants along the East Coast.</p>  <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>  <p class="MsoNormal">Philadelphia Business Journal</p>  <p class="MsoNormal">June 22-28, 2007</p>
